About the Association
Founded in 2024, NOSTRA is here to bring STR owners, local residents, and businesses together to create a better experience for everyone involved.
Our mission is simple: to support and protect the rights of short-term rental hosts while helping our members be great neighbors and responsible operators. We’re about more than just hosting—we want to make sure short-term rentals are a positive part of the communities they’re in. That means encouraging our members to maintain their properties well, treat their guests with care, and stay engaged with their neighborhoods.

Advocacy
We stand up for responsible short-term rentals at both the state and local level, representing Ohio hosts and managers and providing resources to help us advocate together.
Regulatory Support
We provide regular updates on the latest in ordinances and laws across the state, as well as support to help hosts operate in compliance.
Best Practices & Education
We create content and events for hosts and managers of all experience levels to professionalize, improve, and host responsibly.

Meet the Board
Dave Stokley
Dave Stokley, aka the “Grim Sweeper,” is a Co-Founder of HostPros and a lifelong Clevelander. He and his business partner Mark Vondrak have been investing in vacation/short-term rentals since 2017. HostPros is the only Airbnb Superhost in Ohio with over 8,000 reviews and currently manages 70+ listings all over Northeast Ohio. At HostPros Dave fills the “visionary” role and handles most of their business development. He’s passionate about big dreams, change, hustle, the power of people, animals, nature, baseball, Cleveland, cilantro, and sour beer.
Nate Klatt
Nate Klatt, a proud Northeast Ohio native, is a licensed CPA with over a decade of experience in finance and operations. He began investing in real estate in 2019 and partnered with Dan Mitchen in 2020, gaining hands-on experience in flipping properties and long-term rentals. This journey ultimately led Nate to discover his passion and purpose in short-term rentals, where he focuses on creating exceptional guest experiences and driving community impact.
As the CEO of HomeHop, Nate leverages his analytical expertise and deep connection to Northeast Ohio to elevate the region’s short-term rental industry. With a commitment to collaboration, quality, and sustainable growth, Nate brings a strategic and purpose-driven approach to his role as Treasurer of NOSTRA, working to support property owners and strengthen the local economy.
Mark Vondrak
Mark got started in the STR world in 2015 when he began renting a bedroom on Airbnb in his house. The love of hosting people from around the world in his hometown inspired him to start his company Host Pros in 2019. Now, Host Pros is the largest locally owned STR manager in Northern Ohio. Mark is an avid traveler & outdoorsman and loves nothing more than being on a trail or somewhere in nature.
Dan Mitchen
Dan is a Co-Founder and the COO of HomeHop Property management.
At HomeHop, our Northeast Ohio roots are the heart of everything we do. We are deeply inspired by the rich culture, resilience, and community spirit of Cleveland and Akron, and we take immense pride in contributing to the flourishing of these incredible cities. Our mission is to redefine the vacation rental experience by combining the warmth of local hospitality with the sophistication of professionally managed homes.
Bernie Cesareo
Eagle Stays Founder (Co-hosting), Hawkeye Business Services Founder (STR Bookkeeping), Property owner, STR, MTR, LTR Multi-Family owner and investor.
I have been a Real Estate investor for 35 Years, Co-hosted up to 40 STR properties, and run an STR bookkeeping company. Most of those are passive with active management in place… my passions are Co-Buying STR’s and helping others launch new businesses!
Michael Clifford
Michael Clifford, Founder of TraveLuxe LLC, specializes in managing luxury STRs with AI and tech-driven solutions for seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Vince Baiera
Vince is an experienced sales & strategy professional with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and SAAS industries.
As part of the HomeHop Property Management team, Vince helped to launch a real estate investment fund and raise $2M to buy 24 homes around NE Ohio and turn them into short term rentals.
